How beautifully Tinamus & allied genera supply Partridges & Quails – how altagis ptarmigan (in each species adapted to different ranges) ostriches bustards - ? Cassowary ? &c &c pheasants. - Here we have representatives in genera. The Golden Plover is represented by allied species, even ornamental similarly coloured. The Charadrius Virginicus.
