Mr Cuming with his own collection & that of Mr Hind Sulphur Collection has examined at least 2000 shells of shells & says from near Tierra del Fuego to Behring St. not one shell common to two coasts. or to West Indies

How wonderful!!! Believes Land & F. W shells equally distinct on the two coasts. Some West coast shells common to the Galapagos –

 

N.B says there are about 15 species of Monoceros in S. America
