Dec. 55. Gould tells me that Procellaria wilsoni & Sterna stolida f. north & south, but not in Tropics, but then these are Pelagic & might have wandered.

He says all the gulls are distinct, but very close representatives differ in colour of eyes: so contrary to Blyth —

The Peregrine Falcon of N. & S. are very close.

Gould seems to consider identical Birds as separately created.
