Gould says /March 12 56/ that Birds of New Zealand (he will write disquisition) are not at all allied to Australia, but to Polynesia. He believes a tribe allied to Cuckoos Chalcite migrates N. to islands lying North - good.-

Sandwich islds Birds quite peculiar Swallows abound in Australia, none in N. Zealand.
