Vol. III p. 50 Capt. Low's History of Tennaserim (country said to extend from 8° 10' to 13° 30') inhabited elephants in numbers. - Rhinoceros; the ox - buffalo, bison, elk & deer - carnivora &c &c bears wolves - baboons opossums flying squirrels, wild sheep. wild hogs - bandicoots.

 

Vol VII. p. 373. M. Kolff states that the arru rabbit (a kind of Kangaroo) is found in the arru islds (namely Wamma Wokam, Mykor, Wadgia sits on hind legs - front feet very short three toes head like a weasel
