To give vivid idea of Geographical Distribution  compare birds of Europe, N America & Tierra del Fuego --- genera in Tierra del Fuego different - Opetiorhyncus – Petrels - Penguins - Attagis  Ptarmigan & Plover on Hills - Wren, Woodpecker – Kingfisher - ducks & grebes – close analogues

Consider insects & plants – if I can - (Fringillidæ) only Ducks Teals & grebes, & Gulls have same relation to birds of Europe that, most American birds to have Europe
