Glacial Epoch
Hooker says that there is odd similarity between highest county of Burma & Central India, seperated by great Gangetic plains with distinct vegetation, Heath (Myrsine africana) May not this be during Glacial epoch.—
Better only say that some other peculiarities there explicable. Is pretty sure, that there are many species in common to Neilgherries & Himmalaya.—

Erica of Cape, not distinct species sections from those of Cape: Calluna a distant genera.— Wollaston says Erica cinerea on ‹no› one summit of Madeira. (Used)
X Stapelia is wandering form from Cape into Europe. Leptospermum & Stylidium have gone from Australia into India (see Indian Flora) but then I did not ask, whether there were S. Australian forms, ie not in Tropics.
No they are not temperate forms.
