How extraordinary the resemblance in pollen-masses in Asclepiadæ & orchideæ— a regular monocoty dicotyledonous & monocot monocotyledonous.— no points of connection apparently Robert Brown remarks briefly on this — far more striking case than spines of ornithorhynchus Echidna & Hedgehog & Porcupines & rats.
