Annals of Botany 1806 2/319 Willdenow on Ficus from Dorstema to Ficus there is a curious intermediate structure in Mithridatea from Madagascar, in which the receptacle remains closed until the flowers are developed, at which season it opens in four parts, displaying the appearance of a four-cleft flower — in Dorstema the flowers are embedded in a fleshy receptacle
