Sir J Smith says all Authors have found difficulty in separating genus Bromus from Festuca he gives certain characters yet in B. erectus one of these characters fails, & the other partially so.— Yet he adds it must be a Bromus from its affinity to B. asper indubitably of this genus.— Case of confluent genera
