Linn. Trans XIII p. 110 — Temminck on genus Psittacus says it difficult if not impossible to demarcate the Coccatoos from the Parroquete for P. accipitrinus & mascarinus pass the Coccatoos of India into the Parroquete of 3 quarters of the world & the P. galeatus passes the latter Parroquete into the Coccatoos of Australia — says geographical divisions of greatest use in methodical arrangements — says the genus Psittacus could form according to some people a score of genera, all ill characterized.
