We need not wonder at one animal producing similar forms, during 3 or 4 or even 20,000 years, when we see a single herring producing --- similar little fishes – or a Doris producing 600 thousand eggs!!! & therefore, it is possible under favourable circumstances or young sea -slugs
Apropos no law of necessary variation.
