I am inclined to think that Plants alter slower than shells or insects (yet Galapagos Plants) far more in common to Tierra del Fuego – It may be they spread slower) – So shells different in every isld & on every mountain summit – This leads me to suppose they alter [illeg] ; for at glacial period were connected. – Yet how are genera are they not ancient.
