[In box:] Insert briefly when I say that avatism comes under arrests of development

Having alluded to reproduction a word must be said of two Kinds if I am not deceived a fundamental difference can be indicated. In "Origin" I have explained Embryology, which is very general, probably universal but sometimes obscured: From my explanation, it follows that ovarium retains the power of producing cell or ovules, at an ancestral or primordial condition. This ovule in vast majority of cases requires impregnation, but whether or not retains their primordial condition.

Use of impregnation - In propagation by division I can find no case where the

part reported goes through embryonic stage - Plant no cotyledons.

This view bears on similarity of [illeg] by bud & seed (Perhaps begin with this) & this bears on period of cause of variability or at least of period when form affected.

The ovarium or rather its product ovules on my view, remains as they were in great ancestor of each class, or in primordial being.

Perhaps under Bud variation
