Doubt Monocot. being more difficult to hybridise than Dicot; as Brown says
Rhod Dauricum & Ponticus have crossed times of flowering very different & size — The wild Crinum near Rio, was a natural cross between an aquatic and wood plant. ⸮ Perhaps note as these crosses were sterile
— I think 2 Loasa; a shrubby & climbing plant in Erythrina have crossed. The foregoing facts much opposed to Constitution being governing law — Work out constitutions & in animals゠ Ask whether lowland & Alpine plants have crossed?
Natal Gladiolus will not cross with S. Africa species — now will a Half-bred do cross with do — Here country appears to come in—
