p. 274 seem to have found the various hybrids fertile. (just allude to)

p 274. He crossed hybrid Campanulatum (derived from, (maximum, Ponticum & campanulatum) with hybrid coriaceum, (derived from purpureum Catawbiense & arboreum) so the 6 species combined.
