Mr Shuckard has seen two distinct genera of Hymenoptera coupled.— He says there is on good record Elater with some quite distinct genus.— Pallas alludes to such fact. Hope has seen such case find out what??— Now this strongly supports my view that it is not instinct which prevents crossing production of Hybrids in animals more than plants — it will be very hard to show repugnance. mainly non-desire is present.—
