Athenaeum p. 734 /42/ it seems from Cuvier & Owen that teeth of some Anoplotherium's are scarcely to be distinguished from Ruminants, but their metacarpals & metatarsals are separate, whereas in all Ruminants quite distinct. In Macrauchenia they were half united.
