It is rash to argue even that Cetacea & Phocæ did not exist in Secondary period — for they might well then have been confined to arctic regions - Perhaps sessile Barnacles cd not have existed in the Secondary periods, which wd have necessitated great creation power within the period. Study fish for the object.

Aug /47/ (when one set becomes extinct & another takes the set up, then alone, I think we may argue that forms have really been created.)
