First consider how far fossil world is full record

The gradual (if proved) disappearance of old & appearance of new forms is great law of nature wh: my theory explains like it does geograph - distribution – Hybridism - must be treated of as law. - in 2d part of vol. when I consider of general relations of fossil world to recent & then fossil world of each particular country to present country in same site.
