Can it be shown that at every period some few forms have passed from one to other period, as some now & Eocene; some few Eocene & Chalk; Chalk & Oolite - Oolite & Lias & Lias & Trias - Trias & Permian. - If this cd be shown (ask Salter) no enormous change of condition from beginning of world to now???
