Sillimans J. vol 34 p. 202. In Louisiana in same stratified bed teeth of Mastodon & of horse. The latter larger than the existing species, whereas all those described by Cuvier are smaller slight deviations in the festoons of cranial, but not more than sometimes occur in living horses.
