Vol. XI p. 732 – descript of Subularia aquatica – says flower completely protected by petals & calyx. Sir J. Smith & Hooker – I believe not in Sir J. Smith.

Vol. VII p. 467 from description of Zostera marina, I should suppose possible it flowered in sheath only beneath level of water – Flowers august & September.
