Nov 8 1879 Mimosa pudica— circumnutation of stem.—
a very young plant with fine growing stem, was kept in darkness & with filament [sketch] attached movement was traced during 2 days, on Horizontal glass & though the temp in my study was only 57°-59° F, yet it plainly circumnutated, describing 4 rather small ellipses in course . 12 hrs.—
