Geotropism & apogeotropism.
In figure of plants bent to lateral light, when evening grew dark the hypocotyls, epicotyls & stems straightened themselves & we continually had zig-zag lines or ellipses described, show that apogeotropism modified circumnutation. Tropæolum fig. 217 — Brassica Oleracea. fig 205 — Apios graveolens 203 A less good & Cassia tosa — Cassia tosa, but tracing not given very good in Portfolio
Geotropic radicles show plainest circumnutation, when checked by sliding down glass Plate.
