(2) do tip Hooked obliquely to gravity

(3) do do do

(4) do quite straight & horizontal no effect— yet grown for 15 mm from tip to black dot

(5) 0 nothing done to 4th 4th 8° a.m tip a little bent a from centre of gravity! but grown a little for now 12 1/2 mm. from tip to black dot

(6) 0 do horizontal— yet considerably grown for now 17 1/2 mm from black tip to dot!!!

In every way an utter failure: I begin to believe in periodicity of germination, & if made to germinate at wrong period — will not succeed—
