Berberis Darwinii
June 6th 1879.
When petals removed on one side of flower stamen being relieved from confinement bend slowly from stigma.— I could see no other movement in stamens with anthers not yet opened & filament not yet sensitive — & in flower with pollen shed.
Also observed a flower with pollen exuded & filament sensitive, & without petals having been touched & could see no circumnutation— during the day the stamen Observed moved about 1/500 of inch, & this might have been owing to circles of card.
