No. 3 & 7. Silk thread tied round & then kept gummed from .3 of inch beneath tip.

(7) not at all curved towards the light

(3) as much curved as any} Jan 10th 8' a.m, both acted on by geotropism during night

8° 45' P.m. Geotropism

A. B. D. coated all over with glycerine & Lamp-Black

E & F. syrup & Lamp-Black} Jan 10' 8° a.m. These 5 plants have all remained curved as they were through Heliotropism, & have not been acted on in the least by apogeotropism, whereas 30 or 40 other plants in pot are all bent greatly in upwards — tips horizontal.—} All this has occurred in under 12°
