Ap. 14th 63 Mahonia

Chloroform did not make most stamens move, but did make one or two & by starts. — I think it caused those which had just closed to open?! It certainly caused many of petals spasmodically to curl inwards. — Does this flower go to sleep?—

Ap. 17. Berberis Darwinii — Stamens did not move under chloroform — nor those that had already move back under chloroform—
