Robinia pseudo acacia— after smart smart little shower leaves covered with globules of water, as William said.
A good shake shook them off & left leaves dry— I shook leaf for 1' 30" & leaflets became a little Depressed. In the morning I observed parent trees with strong dry wind & leaflets did not seem from carriage depressed.
I have just seen leaves waved about rather strongly with all leaflets horizontal.—
Robinia viscosa sleep like R pseudo=acacia
Erythrina coralliflorum crista galli (?) against a well does not go to sleep.—
