Acacias

The only thing to try is whether the vertical leaves with bloom, wh are injured by water when this is removed. Also whether the leaves with bloom are as vertical as the others.

Therefore 1 or 2 sp. with bloom, of the quite vertical & less so in degree, if such difference exists.

A. cultriformis, (sub-vertical & splendid bloom)

A. parvissima, vertical & slight bloom

A. nor. 22., sub-vertical & slight bloom.

A. vestita, vertical & slight bloom

I may assume that the many sp. with vertical leaves & no trace of bloom are not injured by wet running down them, & it probably will not lodge so much as on horizontal leaves.
