Aug 29' 1877. The unnamed sp. of Cassia — sleep quite like C. calliantha — The whole leaf drops droops a trifle. —Both surfaces silvery — Shaking for 2' causes the leaflets to turn on axis so as to become oblique, but I do not think angle of mid-rib to main petiole alters much.— The shaking causes the whole leaf to bow or sink downwards.
