(Cassia floribunda) 1877
Drops allowed to dry occasionally.—
Aug 28th 8°. 45' 6 rear leaflets on 2 leaves sponged very slightly, & 6 leaflets on do, not touched with drops of water on.
Sept 11th removed leaf— no clear signs of injury— marked the 6 leaflets on each leaf are beneath red wool.
Sept 13th. There are certainly brown specks on several of the leaves & the mid-rib of 1 brownish, which certainly were not present when water put on, but then all the leaves are beginning to fail & it is not possible to be certain that the brown & injured specks are due to the water.—
