March. 19th 1882.— Cassia floribunda— A youngish leaf, secreting sugar, but rather yellowish— Upper surface not silvery in water, but greasy as I called it, so that the film of water, after being dipped, runs together & then can be flicked or blown off— lower surface silvery in water.—
