On upright shoot leaves sink down vertically parallel to shoot— older ones not so perpendicularly down.— on horizontal shoot very young leaves moves down so as to be parallel to shoot, & are therefore horizontal but older leaves seem influenced by growing & move downwards & therefore not the plane of the branch as well as towards stem— say in horizontal shoots do not move in plane through which leaves pass, but towards one only partially in such plane & partly downwards to centre of earth.—

Very old leaves sleep

In dry Plant did whole leaf fall or only leaflets move?

Leaves 1-1 1/2 in length some which have as Leaflets many as 10 — 16 leaflets on each side not facing each other placed alternately
