Nov. 29th /1878/ Siebeckia orientalis.

Seedlings, the first true leaves whilst young, do not become at all vertical at night.— Pot was brought late in evening into my study.—

Jun 22d /79 at 10° P.m. angle of 4 leaves 65°,— 60°, 55° & 50° below Horizon— on previous & subsequent noon Horizontal— youngish leaves, but longer for nearly 2 to 2 1/2 inches in length.—

Kept on middle table in study all day (23d) at night 10° P.m not a trace of Sleep.!!
