Gives the above account in Spanish and adds:—

"Este fenomeno ya bien observado por los viajeros Ruiz & Pavon, se noti en una gran parti de las plantas cuyas hojas estàn compleestas, es lo que se llama en botánica sueño de las plantas"—

I had better say account unintelligible — refer chiefly to [illeg] prophetic behaviour of plant with respect to water & not to the effects of [illeg] weather drying & dampness — It may be suspected that in some of cases stated degree of Light chief Element
