Mimosa

arrange for drops of water to fall on leaves for 2 or 3 Hours & see if will open.— will they open under water? I shd think wd open in our country during windy day— Try on hot & windy day — or try shaking every 2 or 3'— If open under dripping water my view exploded.—

(The greater & warmer water wd make them more sensitive to the impact of drops; & this sensitiveness has been utilised.—

They can resist ordinary heated air to high degree without moving moving — but sudden changes in Heat causes movement.)
