May 31— Jun 1 & 2d Crinum Capense

Tip of leaf formerly observed had become horizontal & movements traced on horizontal glass under skylight— not at all affected by Geotropism but moved rather upwards owing to light now coming from above— Dots made by square block, & this showed that fr afternoon 1.30h of 31 to 10° P.m. on June 1st moved laterally (& the chief movement was from side to side) with little in vertical plane) 3 1/8 of inch. During next 24° moved 2 1/2 inches & next 1 3/4 inch— These being the actual amt of movement.—
