A seedling Plant 3 inches in height had glass-filament attached to one of upper leaves about which was nearly 1 inch in length [sketch]
Observed under skylight & traced on vertical glass.
Distance of apex of leaf from glass 10 1/2 inches, so tracing considerably magnified. Observed from 6° 50' a.m on Jun 2d to evening of Jun 7th & during this whole time descended, al along I suppose to growth & perhaps to light coming from vertically above. See tracing which goes only to evening of 6th. The sole evidence of circumnutation is the line being strongly zig-zag during latter part of observation, & we have seen in many cases for instance Petunia that this indicates circumnutation.
