Mutisia clematis March 8 – 1879 Compositæ
As I have said in my book on Climbing Plants p (117) that leaves sink (perhaps due to my having brought kept plants all day in N. E room with not bright light. — I observed 3 leaves keeping them all day under same light in HotHouse. —
A very fine leaf midrib stood 3° below horizon at noon; at 10° P.m at 1° below do, so had risen 2°
A 2d leaf stood 7° below horizon at 10 P.m 14° above had risen 21°.
a 3d leaf pointing more downwards stood 52° below— at 10° P.m 42° below so had risen 10°.—
