Duval Jouve Bull Soc Bot de France Feb 14 1868

He took a shoot of Bryophyllum calycinum which had been injured by frost on Oct 5 & put it away in a cupboard. On Oct 20 he found buds growing on the edges of the leaves. By Nov 15 there were young plants with 3 pair of simple leaves, the upper leaves 40mm in length, the middle leaves 15mm. On Nov 16 the distance between the tips of the upper pr of leaves on one plant was measured as below
