Nov 9 Pulvinus Oxalis rosea & valdiviana

There is no clear difference between the joints of the two species as far as any difference between upper & lower halves is concerned.

When looked at as birds eye view, the upper surface of rosea & lower of valdiviana are wrinkled. Cotyledons 3 1/2 mm long both about horizontal gathered between 10 & 11 am. In both when the leaf is placed on a bit of glass with upper surface down the stalk sticks up stiffly. In rosea there are rather more cells in the lower half of the joint, but this is also the case in one spec of valdiviana.
