at base of Hypocotyl there is the proper heel or peg, which I saw bursting open coats— I did not expect it—
30th 3 seedlings Cots now now above ground & the hard sed-coats left buried I doubt about this class of Cotyledons, being like hypogean ones.
All the Cots, have come up naked
