Seedlings of Cereus Landbeckii consist of globular body or pear-shaped purple body with roots beneath, & 2 triangular projections representing the Cots, narrower than body or enlarged stem, & therefore to a certain degree both Cots are rudimentary, & certainly in comparison with the well-developed Cots of Opuntia nigricans & basalis?

May 29th. F or Pilocereus Houlletianum, leucocephalus seeding with stem upper part of stem much s almost cylindrical much larger than lower part, ie. swollen, with the 2 notched on summit, the sides of notch forming the 2 cotyledons—
