Cot. at first with petiole 1/10th of inch in length— Close beneath lamina a near petiole narrow, colourless, apparently smaller cells than lower & concave part, which embraces plumule. This part may be called pulvinus, but is not prominent— Look at old Cotyledon when it sleeps well.— Frank has described
