Ap. 2d. 1879 Lactuca scariola— cotyledons sleep well, almost vertical & some quite closed, whereas during day sub-horizontal.—
Ap. 13th. The movement of the Cots. last only whilst they are growing— now that they have grown large, no movement deserving to be called sleep.
