Tr Pannonicum; first true leaf sometime single [uniflora] sometime trifoliate; sometime unifoliate, with a leaflet on one side partially or wholly separated, so gradations, we thus see a plant losing what may be called its embryological characters, those of the adult state encroaching on & replacing them. — One leaf consisted of terminal, with a united lateral lobe & on other side a free lobe

Tr. Hybridum (only a seedling) perhaps not true — no signs of sleep.

Tr. Ochroleucum — no signs of sleep

Tr. glomeratum. much raised but not asleep. ✓

Ap. 15' first true leaves appearing— cots hardly raised—

Tr. striatum moderately raised — not asleep.
