Feb 6th. Vegetable Marrow (Used)

Frost — clear sky. Therm on grass 30°.

2 plants one tied & closed & the other open.

[sketch] tied Black w.

[sketch] weight tied with white w.

at 9° 30 Temp. 28°.

exposed from 7° 30' to 9°. 30'

Feb. 8th. The 2 leaves which were fastened open are now quite limpid & dead — The 2 which were tied together, except tips are rigid & much less injured though considerably injured.

Feb 9th wonderful difference:
