22 April 1882

My dear Frank

I am very much obliged for your letter, as you will no doubt have had mine. I hope your poor mother is well as can be expected.

Last night in the House of Commons there

was a strong feeling that your father ought to be buried in Westminster Abbey, when I believe there is no greater or better man.

I am now sending a suggestion to that effect to the Dean. It is very influentially signed, as if there had been time many other signatures would have been added.
